These Edwards internal oil filter gaskets are needed when replacing the internal oil filter on the E1M175, E2M175, E1M275, and E2M275 model rotary vane pumps. These large rotary vane pumps have an internal oil filter screen device that filters the vacuum pump oil before it goes in to the oil pumping section of the vacuum pump. It is important that the internal oil pump receive clean oil. The internal oil pump pressurizes and provides oil pressure to cool and seal the internal moving parts of the vacuum pump, which are critical to pumps life and good vacuum performance.
